Everything was top notch
The food was to die for. I cannot wait to visit the other sister restaurants. It’s a yes from me 😍😍😍
The price for wine by carafe is mind blowing high. What a pity. Had to sit through a 5 course meal with only 1 glass of wine as that was all I could afford.
We had a wonderful 6 Course Meal for Restaurant Week at Epice. However we will never return, due to the ridiculous wine prices. There was nothing for less than R400 a bottle. And they add 13,5% service charge. We eventually had a bottle of MCC which cost R530,00 !!!!! This could have been bought from the Wine Fa...

And they add 13,5% service charge. We eventually had a bottle of MCC which cost R530,00 !!!!! This could have been bought from the Wine Farm for R180,00 which was less than 1 km up the road. 300% mark up! Unfortunately, those of us who enjoy some wine with our meal are subsidising the Tee Totallers! Also, I suppose it is fine if you have dollars, pound or euros.

We were so impressed with our first experience, however we can see that the menu has evolved and changed. The service is professional but not stiff, its relaxed and so friendly. What a nice surprise to be welcomed back, we even got a little gift as we were celebrating our anniversary!
As for the food - it was Wow! Every course is a delight, the flavors and balance in the dishes, exceptional. The Sorbet trolley is a delight and we love meeting some of the kitchen team members as they present some of the dishes. Even the bread is a wonderful experience!
We look forward to our next visit to the restaurant... until then, we will be telling all of our friends about how special Epice is!
A big thank you to the entire Epice Family!

About Epice
Cuisine: Fine Dining
Inspired by spices
The latest venture from the team behind La Colombe, La Petite Colombe, Foxcroft and Protégé.
Epice - derived from the French word Épice meaning spice (and is pronounced eh-peace) - is an intimate fine dining restaurant located at Le Quartier Français, Franschhoek.
Serving an array of delectably curated dishes, the fine-dining restaurant is headed by chef Charné Sampson (previously sous chef at La Colombe), and features a flavour-packed menu inspired by the team’s culinary expedition to India, as well as memories of travels through Spain, Japan, Mexico, Denmark and the US.
