Very interesting selection to choose from on the Restaurant Week menu which meant we ate dishes we wouldn’t normally select. The food was good and of decent portions. I personally wasn’t crazy about the popcorn addition to the beef shin main course.

The arrival cocktail was delicious!

A very cozy spot for a rooftop restaurant, the starters were delicious! The main (I chose beef shin, didn’t get a pic) was so tender but unfortunately the sauce was a bit too rich, or it needed something to break the flavor slightly. Dessert was great! Our waiter was a star, explained everything on the menu so well and was very friendly.

We chose the two course option and the starter BLEW us away. Amazing flavours of that butter curry/Cape Malay curry mussels and the vetkoek was top 1😍.

This was a lovely meal, delicious and well worth the wait. We did find that the service at times was both slow and invisible, but when at the table they were good. Delightful setting.

Let your hair down and indulge in late afternoon drinks, sun-filled poolside sessions or partake in one of our signature events. GiGi Rooftop is a living room for the neighbourhood and you’re invited. This is where Cape Town comes to play.

1. Do I need to pay upfront?

At most restaurants, you can make reservations for free and cancel them without any charge. You'll settle the bill when you dine at the restaurant. However, some restaurants may request a small deposit, and they will send a prepayment request via Dineplan to confirm your reservation.

2. How do I know if my reservation is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation for every reservation within a few minutes at the email address you provided. Haven't received anything? Please check your spam folder.

3. I follow a special diet. Can the restaurant accommodate that?

Yes, restaurants always take dietary preferences into consideration.

You can specify your dietary requirements in the comments section of the reservation form.

4. Are drinks included in the menu price?

In most deals, drinks are not included.

However, some restaurants may offer a welcome drink or provide a wine-pairing option, and this will be clearly indicated in the restaurant's menu.

5. How can I change my reservation?

6. How can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can always cancel for free.

If you have made a prepayment via Dineplan, you can cancel up to 24 hours before your reservation. The amount you paid in advance will be automatically refunded to your account. Refunds through Dineplan should be resolved in communication with the restaurant, and we are not directly involved in this process.

8. Until when can I cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation online up to 8 hours in advance, or by phone up to 1 hour before your reservation time. However, we kindly request that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to make your reservation.

During Restaurant Week South Africa, you can indulge in a fabulous 3-course dinner at over 140 of the finest restaurants in South Africa, starting at ZAR 295.00 per person. Restaurant Week South Africa is held twice a year, in Autumn and Spring.
