I am always out if I see porkbelly on the menu. This porkbelly was soft and juicy. The onions and the apple makes this dish a perfect one. And the sauce was to die for. More of the baguette and the sauce was gone. Very friendly staff and the "Manager" was sooo attentiv. Nice location. We always come to the deli never to the Bistro. See you soon.

About Klein Joostenberg Bistro

Head chef Akram Apollis draws inspiration from the tradition of simple, generous, informal bistro dining, and strives to recreate the essence of un-fussy, good food in everything that he and his team prepare.
Seasonal menus change often, featuring flavoursome dishes made from scratch, using regional farm produce.
Typical breakfast dishes include filled omelettes, French toast, charcuterie & local cheeses. Lunch time menu examples are herb-crusted pork loin with pickled vegetables and cabbage salad, pork & bean casserole, seasonal Cape line fish with delicate white wine, onion, garlic and peppercorn poached vegetables and delicious chocolate and almond flourless cake or crème caramel for dessert.
The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly with a cosy fireplace in winter and a vine-shaded stoep overlooking the gardens to be enjoyed in the summer.
