De Kloof is an upmarket restaurant with quality food, however the overall restaurant week menu was ok - the dessert was the most memorable and delicious part of the menu. The manager recommended a beautiful wine that we enjoyed with our meal.

We went to De Kloof in Restaurant week for their 3 course lunch menu. We ordered the prawn risotto which was full of flavour and really good. We were disappointed though that they had to substitute the risotto for black rice as they “ran out of stock”. This shouldn’t happen at a fine dining restaurant.
Our mains were delicious and we really enjoyed the steak and pork dishes.
The only item that was really not up to standard was the summer berry tarte - the pastry/tart base was way too thick which didnt leave enough space for the delicious filling. All you could taste was the pastry. So, we had good and flavoursome food, but a few inconsistencies on their part which is disappointing.
