We were blessed with beautiful weather to match, and this set the tone for a memorable day out with my family. I have 2 young girls, and they were catered for especially by the Chef. Bread to start with the most delicious chilli jam and hummus, and I chose the lamb main, which was plain delicious. If you are looking for something special, this is the place for you.

On arrival we were Welcome with such warmth, we were invited to choose a seat in the long outdoor covered area, the floors were adorned by beautiful Persian carpets
The meal was absolutely delish, well presented and the flavours were so distinct. .We enjoyed a perfect afternoon, and felt very special..
We shall certainly visit La Residence ,once again..
Beautiful venue and excellent service. The food options for the 2 course lunch were delicious but perhaps we just missed that the main chicken course was a cold salad (and we’d have liked a warm chicken meal). That said the risotto was excellent and the starters were also top par. Excellent venue with a wonderful feel and view (and peacock!)

Dining at La Residence
In the heart of South Africa's wine country, the experience at La Residence is focused on fine wine and delicious cuisine. Executive Chef Lennard Marais oversees the dining experience at La Residence. His cuisine emphasises fresh, local ingredients, many of which are grown on the estate.
Because the cuisine is such an integral part of the experience at La Residence, our guests will often sit down with the chefs to discuss their preferences and dietary requirements with menus being tailored accordingly.

The dining area at La Residence is known as the Great Hall – resplendent with dazzling chandeliers, black and white Victorian tiles and vast fireplaces. Outside, the Persian Alley offers a delightful setting for alfresco meals, overlooking the lush green lawn and palm fronds.
