Lazy Sunday lunch with friends and fun.
Due to it being the Oktoberfest time of year we all selected the “Swine”, a beautiful combination of Riesling braised Pork belly, Bacon, Pork cheek crackling, Sauerkraut, Beer mustard, pommes puree, and Pickled onion.
The recommended Paul Cluver Close Encounter Riesling was so good that we chose to order a bottle with lunch!
Executive Chef Monche Muller served us a complimentary carpaccio starter personally which was on the house, and even took the time to come through after our meal to hear our feedback.
By far, the best restaurant in Pretoria that I have been to!

Fine dining with creative food pairing. De Kloof offers sophisticated cuisine with great service. My experience was very good however my main and dessert had 1 element on each plate that let the dish down slightly and stopped it from being truly spectacular. None the less a beautiful dining experience and a must try if you are looking for a special dining experience.

One of the best gems Pretoria has to offer. Appart from a menu that leave you mesmerized with the combinations, you will be treated to stunning food presentation and great wine pairings. De Kloof offers an experience filled with detail. From escourted to your table by the owner, complimentary carpaccio and bread basket before dinner, friendly and knowledgeble staff, through to a departing "gift" of gourmet petit fours. A note worth mentioning: even on a packed evening, the noise levels were very low. One could have a conversation without straining to hear your partner or raise your voice. The knowledgeable and very friendly staff are part of success of the evening. They set the tone for the evening, warm and inviting. Dinner at De Kloof is how dining should be, excellent food, wine and service put together in a way to add to your memorable evening, not overwhelming it.
