We've stopped ordering squid/calamari simply because so few restaurants prepare it well. Jewells calamari starter was exceptionally soft and well matched with crisp roasted broccoli and blackened lime. Their Bayonne ham was another winner served with remoulade. Their wines paired perfectly - our favourite their 2019 cinsaut. Well worth a trip to the country.
I am so impressed with their service and the food and wine paring menu was divine!
Wow. The food was amazing. Its such a stupid thing to say, but everything was just on point!
I took my mom here for a lazy bday lunch with family friends. The food was good, and the portions quite big with I wasn't expecting. The atmosphere was amazing, sitting outside under a pergola and looking over the winelands below! Very nice for a relaxed lunch.
What a way to spend a Sunday so affordable and good quality food! Great experience

Celebrated chef and charcuterie whizz Neil Jewell, together with his wife Tina Jewell, are at the helm of this farm-to-table eatery at our Spice Route Destination. The open-kitchen restaurant has comfortable yet sophisticated-country style indoor seating as well as outdoor seating with picturesque views of the Simonsberg Mountains and Table Mountain. As you’d expect, only the best-quality ingredients are used in the dishes, including organic Red Angus beef from Charles Back’s herd, with a regularly updated seasonal menu paired with a selection of Spice Route wines.
